Sensitivities related to penis skin explained
There are many men who consider themselves healthy, but they forget to check their penis health into consideration. This is not unusual because men don’t think about their penis which is part of the body that is well hidden (except during sexual intercourse). However, this doesn’t mean that the penis cannot experience problems. One of the most common issues with penis health is skin sensitivity because this is very gentle part of the body. According to some statistics 4 out of 10 men experience skin sensitivity every year and many of these cases are related to the penis. Rash, itchiness, lack of moisture – these are some of the problems that occur in this area. If you want to avoid such problems, it is the best idea to take good care of the skin of this body part.
First of all, check whether latex causes problems. Men who notice itchiness and sensitivity after they had an intercourse (and had latex condom on their penis), are probably allergic to latex. In addition to the itching and rashes, latex allergy leads to coughing, hives, dizziness and nausea. You don’t have to wait for all these symptoms to check whether something is wrong or not. Consult your doctor and determine whether you are allergic or not. Meanwhile, you can use condoms based on polyisoprene and polyurethane.
There are many men who forget that their penis skin is constantly in touch with some type of fabric (underwear). Sometimes the material itself can lead to these rashes and sensitivities. On the other hand, in some cases, it is the detergent used to treat the underwear that leads to these problems. In case you use a laundry detergent with specific fragrance, it is time to replace it with a detergent that is free of such chemicals. If the problem still exists, talk to your doctor.
According to the National Sleep Foundation, it is a good practice to sleep naked from time to time. Unfortunately, only one in ten Americans sleeps without clothes. The reason why we should sleep naked is simple – wearing your underwear all the time increases the chances of developing an infection. Wearing briefs of boxers makes this area warmer and sometimes leads to increased moisture which is ideal environment for the growth of bacteria. In addition, the rubbing and chafing that happens when you wear underwear all the time can cause additional irritation.
In the recent period, there is an increased number of people who use lubricants. Although there is nothing wrong with using such help, there are men who have sensitive penis skin which can make the situation a little bit difficult. If you want to use lubricants or any other similar products, try to purchase products that don’t contain ingredients that can lead to irritations.
Finally, don’t forget to maintain the ideal moisture in this area. If the penis skin is sensitive it can often suffer from dryness. There are special penis creams with antioxidants, vitamins and other nutrients that can help you.
